Psychological thriller flicks always have this ability to get viewers to jump out of their seat. Significantly many psychological films are based on dysfunctional relationship twist, revenge, and so forth. It also depends on the deliverance of a well written story plot, which was illustrated in the film ‘Rebound’ (2014). ‘Rebound’ (2104) is directed and written by Megan Freels Johnston. ‘Rebound’ (2104) is a horror/psychological thriller that closely touches on the element of dysfunctional relationships, handling break-ups, and finding power to move forward.
Mrs. Johnston originally started out producing adaptations of her grandfather Elmore Leonard’s work before going on writing and directing material herself. She has also been a producer for over 10 years, which has illustrated her strong finesse to lead and deliver excellent bodies of work. ‘Rebound’ (2014) is her first directorial debut film for 2014.
After observing many filmmakers in the industry, it is understood that it doesn’t matter what sex you are in the business, but a clever and goal driven persona must transcend in order of excelling in the Hollywood limelight. Mrs. Johnston definitely breaks all boundaries as a female filmmaker and delivers with a defiant edge on all levels.
All cast bring on a true uniqueness to character portrayal, yet allowing story structure to breath and lock into. ‘Rebound’ (2014) recently received critical acclaims from Fangoria, Bloodt Disgusting, and Film Threat for film concept. With that being said, it is clearly evident that ‘Rebound’ (2014) holds no limits on the big screen.
