The iconic English guitar legend Albert Lee, celebrated his 70th birthday at The Canyon Club, Jan 9, 2014. The Grammy-winning artist brought down the house with a high class showcase of rock and hot country roots with fueled intensity and fire.

The night was filled with a true showcase of music notoriety’s from all walks of Albert Lee’s life to honor his contributions to the world of music. Special guest notoriety appearance were Albert Lee’s daughter Alex Lee, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Desert Rose Band (Chris Hillman, John Jorgenson, Jay Dee Maness, Herb Pedersen, Bill Bryson, Steve Duncan), Hot Roux, Peter Asher, Jerry Donahue of the Hellecasters, Laurece Juber, Jacksh*t Band, Rosie Flores, Scarlet Rivera, Diane Lotny, and many more.

Albert Lee is known for his finger-style and hybrid picking technique. Lee has worked, both in the studio and on tour, with many famous musicians from a wide range of genres. He has also maintained a solo career and is a noted composer and musical director.The two-time Grammy Award winner started out in England playing rock and R&B and has played with at least two members of the original class of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Jerry Lee Lewis and the Everly Brothers. In the 1980s, Albert Lee was a featured member of the Everly Brothers’ band at their acclaimed reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall. He’s also played alongside Eric Clapton, Bo Diddley, Jackson Browne, Joe Cocker, Eddie Van Halen and countless others.

Being a fan to the concept of the fundamental music style has truly opened my eyes that talent is never limited watching the acts of Albert Lee and his All-Star showcase. With a sold out show, it really expresses how loved Albert Lee is and the appreciation of his musical talent.

Albert Lee surely is determined to perform without limits, deliver with passion, intensity, fire, and appreciation of the music craft. With that being said, Albert Lee is a true and great talent “that holds the key to the holy grail of music” for sure. Having experienced seeing a phenomenal show such as Albert Lee and the All-Star music event, shows true admiration from everyone across the board.
